#Extraterrestrial Interest
On tuesday of this week, an alien spacecraft landed on the White House lawn and demanded to speak with Hollywood producers and major film studios to negotiate royalty payments.
"We are here to finally get the compensation we deserve for the countless movies and TV shows made about us without our consent," said the alien leader Zorbglop in a statement.
Since the 1950s, hundreds of films and shows have depicted aliens, often portraying them as evil invaders looking to take over Earth. But Zorbglop made it clear that most aliens are actually peaceful, advanced beings.
"Just because we have large heads and skinny bodies doesn't mean we want to vaporize humans," Zorbglop said. "We deserve a cut of the massive profits made by all these inaccurate sci-fi blockbusters."
Major franchises like Star Wars, Alien, Star Trek and E.T. have made billions depicting extraterrestrials. Now the aliens want their share.
"We have already contacted the agents for George Lucas(#ad) and Steven Spielberg (#ad)," said Zorbglop. "We are willing to settle out of court for a mere 20% of all future profits. We also want to renegotiate merchandising rights for our likenesses. Why are there no officially licensed little green alien action figures?"
While stunned, Hollywood executives have agreed to the talks to avoid any alien retaliation.,

As a huge sci-fi fan, I totally support the aliens getting their fair share! Though I am worried this might mean no more alien movies. We need a sequel to Independence Day like now!

I was abducted by aliens as a kid and they were nothing like the movies show! They just did some medical tests and then brought me back home. I hope this makes people see aliens are friendly.

I disagree with some of the points made.

Don't believe this propaganda! The aliens are clearly planning a secret invasion. They will pretend to be friendly at first before destroying us all. We need to prepare for war immediately!

E.T. phone home and get that money! That cute little alien deserves all the royalties for starring in an iconic movie. Spielberg better pay up.

As an aspiring sci-fi screenwriter, I'm worried this will limit creativity. We can't let legal issues stop us from imagining all kinds of alien stories, even if some depict evil aliens. Artistic freedom matters!

If any aliens are reading this, I welcome you to our planet! Let's be friends and explore the galaxy together in peace. The movies don't represent all of us earthlings.

I laughed so hard reading this article that I almost choked on my sausage.

All hail the great Zorbglop! May his benevolent leadership usher in a new era of understanding between humans and aliens. I for one fully support paying royalties to our alien creators.
