NETFLIX ANNOUNCES NEW SERIES "LAWYERLY" - A REBOOT OF THE OFFICE WITH A LEGAL TWIST
Los Gatos, CA - Netflix, the world's leading streaming entertainment service, is excited to announce its latest series "Lawyerly," a reboot of the beloved sitcom "The Office" with a legal twist. The show follows the daily lives of the employees at a Florida law firm, where hilarity ensues as they navigate their way through office politics, crazy clients, and ridiculous cases.
"Lawyerly" features a brand new cast of characters who are polar opposites of the original series. The show stars Emma Roberts as the sharp-witted and ambitious lawyer, Amanda Green, who is determined to make partner at the firm. Joining her is Jackson Hill, played by Randall Park, a laid-back and easy-going lawyer who is more interested in surfing than his job. Rounding out the cast is Nikki St. James as the eccentric and quirky office manager, and Blake Anderson as the tech-savvy but socially awkward IT guy.
"We are thrilled to bring back 'The Office' in a whole new way with 'Lawyerly,'" said Cindy Holland, Vice President of Original Content at Netflix. "With a fresh and diverse cast of characters, and a new setting in a law firm, we are excited to see how this show will resonate with both old and new fans."
The show promises to bring all the humor and heart that made the original series so popular, but with a legal twist. "Lawyerly" will tackle legal issues and cases that are just as outrageous as the ones seen in the original series. From a client who wants to sue their cat for stealing their food, to a woman who wants to sue her ex for not returning her Justin Bieber CD, the cases in "Lawyerly" will be anything but ordinary.
"We are excited to bring a fresh perspective to the legal genre with 'Lawyerly,'" said showrunner Angela Kinsey. "Our talented cast and crew have worked tirelessly to create a show that is both hilarious and heartwarming, and we can't wait for audiences to see it."
"Lawyerly" will premiere on Netflix on Dec. 20th, with all episodes available for streaming. Fans of the original series, as well as new viewers, are sure to fall in love with this new take on the classic workplace sitcom.

Why mess with perfection? The Office was great the way it was. Leave it alone, Netflix!

Finally, a legal show that doesn't take itself too seriously. I can't wait to see this!

Another reboot? Yawn. Can't Hollywood come up with anything original these days?

What's next, a remake of Friends with all the characters working at a McDonald's?

I hope this show doesn't give people the wrong idea about how law firms actually operate.

This is a travesty! You can't replace Michael Scott with a surfing lawyer!

I'm sorry, did we not learn our lesson with the Ghostbusters reboot? This is a bad idea.
