#Who Decides These Things?
It's a bold proclamation, but I'm here to make it: The sky is orange (#ad). Not blue, not gray, not a mix of the two, but orange. Despite the overwhelming force of evidence to the contrary, I stand firm in my conviction that the sky is orange. And if I say it often enough, and if I say it loud enough to enough people, it will become true.
I'm not the first one to make this claim, of course. For as long as there has been a sky, there have been people proclaiming it to be a different color than the one that is widely accepted. Orange has always been a popular choice, but there have been dissenters for every color imaginable. Red, green, yellow, purple, even black. But none of these people have been able to successfully convince enough others that their opinion is correct.
My own journey to this conclusion began when I first looked up and saw the sky. To me, it was clearly blue but then I decided in that moment that it was orange. I couldn't understand why so many people insisted that it was blue. No matter what I said, no matter how often I repeated it, they all said I was wrong. I was determined to prove them wrong, so I started to do research. I read books, consulted experts, and studied the scientific evidence. All of it pointed to the sky being blue, but I refused to accept it.
That's when I decided to take a different approach: to convince the world that the sky was orange. I started talking to people about it, sharing my opinion with anyone who would listen. I spread my message on social media and even wrote articles and gave lectures on the subject. I was determined to make my opinion the accepted one.
And it worked. Slowly but surely, people started to believe me. They started to see the sky as orange, too. My goal had been achieved: I had successfully changed the way people thought about the sky. I had changed reality. I had made the impossible possible. So as I sit in this padded, cell I am happy that I finally succeeded in my goal.
So, if you ever look up at the sky and see it as orange, don't be surprised. I made that happen. I made the sky orange. And if I can do that, I can do anything?
